We supply complete sludge hygienisation systems with capacities ranging from approximately 1 to 60 m³/h, designed for mixing dewatered sludge with lime or another hygienising agent. We select the size of the system, the capacity of individual units and the method of dosing the hygienising agent according to the type of sludge and the required process parameters.
We manufacture the main equipment forming part of the system: silos for the hygienising agent, component feeders, screw conveyors and sludge mixers. This allows us to adapt individual units to the specific process line and integrate the system into the equipment of a new or modernised wastewater treatment plant.
During the hygienisation process, dewatered sludge is mixed in specified proportions with lime or another hygienising agent. The dosage of the agent is selected according to the type of sludge and the required degree of hygienisation.
Adding an appropriate quantity of hygienising agent to the sludge can, among other effects:
We configure the complete system from equipment responsible for storing and dosing the hygienising agent, conveying dewatered sludge, mixing both components and removing the prepared mixture. A typical system includes:
The hygienising agent stored in a ZK silo is supplied by a feeder. A screw conveyor then transports the measured quantity of material to the mixer.
At the same time, dewatered sludge is transferred from the dewatering unit by a separate conveyor. In the sludge mixer, the required quantity of sludge is combined with the hygienising agent to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
After mixing, the hygienised sludge is conveyed by another conveyor to a container, trailer or another designated collection point.
The hygienising agent silo, feeder and conveyor transporting lime can be manufactured from carbon steel. Components operating directly with dewatered or mixed sludge – the conveyor supplying sludge to the mixer, the mixer itself and the conveyor removing the prepared mixture – are manufactured from acid-resistant stainless steel.
The equipment forming part of the sludge hygienisation system is controlled automatically in cooperation with the sludge dewatering unit. This allows the dosing of the hygienising agent, conveying of dewatered sludge, mixer operation and removal of the prepared mixture to be synchronised.
At the operator’s request, the system can also be switched to manual control. This facilitates operation of individual units as well as inspection and servicing activities.
| Parameter | Value / version |
|---|---|
| System capacity | approx. 1–60 m³/h |
| Hygienising agent | lime or another selected agent |
| Control mode | automatic / manual |
| Integration | with a sludge dewatering unit |
| Sludge mixer and sludge conveyors | acid-resistant stainless steel |
We select the system configuration according to the required capacity, type of sludge, dewatering method and hygienising agent used. As a manufacturer of the main equipment forming part of the system, we can adapt its parameters, installation arrangement and integration with the other elements of the process line.
The supplied installation can therefore form a complete system covering storage and dosing of the hygienising agent, conveying of dewatered sludge, mixing and removal of the material after the hygienisation process.
