BULK MATERIAL STORAGE SILOS FOR SLUDGE HYGIENISATION SYSTEMS

We manufacture ZK bulk material storage silos with capacities ranging from 18 to 60 m³. As standard, the structure is made of ST3S carbon steel with anti-corrosion protection, while at the customer’s request it can also be manufactured from OH18N9 acid-resistant stainless steel. We offer six silo sizes: ZK-18, ZK-20, ZK-25, ZK-30, ZK-35 and ZK-60.

We manufacture the silo as a welded structure consisting of a roof, cylindrical shell and hopper. Models with capacities from 18 to 35 m³ have a diameter of 2.4 m, while the largest ZK-60 model has a diameter of 2.8 m. Depending on the capacity, the silo height ranges from 5.65 to 10.00 m, and selection of the silo can form part of the complete equipment package for a wastewater treatment plant.

 

ZK bulk material storage silo

 

We manufacture ZK silos for storing bulk materials used in technological processes, including lime and flue dust. The silo can be integrated into a complete sludge hygienisation system incorporating storage, dosing and conveying of the hygienising component.

We manufacture the cylindrical section of the silo from sheet steel and reinforce it with channel-section stiffening rings. The lower section consists of a hopper directing the material towards the receiving equipment or feeder. A fabric filter and safety valve are installed in the upper section of the silo.

Construction of the bulk material storage silo

 

A complete bulk material storage silo can include the following components:

• storage vessel – the main section used for storing the material,
• support structure – allowing the silo to be installed at the required height,
• filling pipe – used for loading material into the silo,
• access ladder – providing access to the upper part of the structure,
• safety railing – protecting the service area at the top of the silo,
• fabric filter,
• safety valve,
• electric vibrator,
• component feeder,
• inspection hatch – providing access to the interior of the silo for inspection.

Equipment facilitating silo discharge

 

Depending on the properties of the stored material, we can equip the silo with additional components that facilitate discharge. We offer, among other solutions, an anti-bridging device with a component feeder equipped with a split slide gate and an electric vibrator.

The purpose of these components is to reduce material bridging and caking inside the silo and to ensure a reliable flow of material towards the discharge section and dosing equipment.

ST3S carbon steel or acid-resistant stainless steel construction

 

As standard, we manufacture the bulk material storage silos from ST3S carbon steel with anti-corrosion protection. Where required by the technological process or operating environment, we also offer silos manufactured from OH18N9 acid-resistant stainless steel.

We select the silo size and equipment according to the required storage capacity, type of component and method of cooperation with screw conveyors and other equipment in the process installation. The configuration of the silo and associated components is determined individually for each system.
