We manufacture screenings presses designed for dewatering, compacting and conveying pre-drained solid contaminants such as plastics, rags, bottles, stones and other screenings. The units can operate directly with screens and grates and can also form part of SPK screen grit chambers. A screenings press can be included in the equipment of industrial wastewater treatment plants where effective dewatering and volume reduction of retained contaminants are required before they are discharged into containers or bins.
Screenings are discharged from a screen or another unit into a conical feed hopper and then conveyed by a screw into the pressing chamber. In this section of the unit, the material is compacted, washed and dewatered.
After passing through the pressing chamber, the screenings are directed into the discharge tube, where they undergo additional compaction. The material can then be discharged directly into a bin, container or bag.
We manufacture the press from stainless steel. The unit can operate indoors or outdoors. For outdoor installations, an additional heating system can be provided to protect the equipment against low temperatures.
The screenings press can operate with grates and screens as part of a mechanical wastewater treatment line. The unit can also form part of a container decantation station where the selected configuration includes mechanical separation and compaction of screenings. Reducing the water content and volume of screenings facilitates their subsequent storage, handling and collection.
