ROTARY DRUM SIEVE

The rotary drum sieve is designed for the mechanical treatment of sewage and water containing solid particles. The sieves are especially important for sewage treatment plants that receive diluted sewage from combined sewage systems. The sieves perform well in industrial plants, sugar plants, breweries, meat processing plants, poultry plants, fish plants, fruit and vegetable processing facilities, tanneries, textile factories, papermaking and wood industries.

Construction
The device is made of acid-resistant steel. The drum is made of perforated or slotted metal sheet and contains rotary brushes. The sieve slit width is between 1 and 20 mm and is selected to match the fraction of contaminants, while the sieve size depends on the sewage flow rate (litres/minute).

Operation
The sewage is pumped into the drum. Solid contaminants are left on its surface. Inside the drum, depending on the contaminant parameters, four brushes revolve to clean the sieve and eject the contaminants into the container, making the sieve self-cleaning.
Solid contaminants are periodically removed from the container by the working staff. Sewage or water is diverted from the lower tank out to the network.
The system is hermetically sealed and automatic.
