A sludge agitator is used for mixing dehydrated sludge with the hygienizing component (lime, smoke-box dust or other).
A worm conveyor delivers the lime to the agitator through one charging hole, while dehydrated sludge is delivered through the other.
The sludge is mixed in the agitator chamber with a quantity of lime delivered by the dispenser. The mix is then discharged from the agitator and is available for transport to the storage place.
The agitator is made of acid-resistant steel. It is hermetically sealed and prevents dusting.
The agitator is controlled by a control box coupled with other devices which constitute the sludge treatment installation. The system can work automatically with the other elements of the sludge dehydration plant.
